At Mountainview Medical Center patients were instrumental in designing the menu currently prepared in the kitchen. Patients were interviewed during a twelve week period concerning the quality, taste, and appeal of the meals they received. The menus were designed based on their feedback. A three week seasonal menu was implemented and includes the top picks from patients. A registered Dietician reviews all meals to make sure they meet the requirement to be nutritionally adequate.
Patient personal choices are always welcomed in the Dietary department. The staff will accommodate patients in selecting meals and snacks that are appealing to individual tastes. Guest trays are available at every meal. Family members are encouraged to join patients for meals.
Snacks are served throughout the day to supplement meals. Snack choices range from fresh fruit to ice cream sundaes. Hot coffee, tea & cocoa are always available.
