Volunteers are always appreciated at Mountainview Medical Center. Your gift of time helps patients. There is nothing quite like making a patient smile to make an ordinary day extraordinary.
Opportunities to volunteer are as varied as the people who volunteer with MMC on a regular basis. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
- Take a resident to lunch-some residents love to go lunch at the Community Center and just need a little assistance getting there.
- One on One visitors are always needed. Patients enjoy your company and conversation.
- Do you have a flair for fixing hair? MMC has a beauty shop and the ladies love to have their hair done.
- Play an instrument or carry a tune? Live music is a great way to help brighten someone’s day. A piano is available.
- Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork Help is always needed in the offices at the facility. Filing, shredding and word processing skills are much appreciated.
- Can you drive someone to an out of town appointment? Volunteers are needed to help drive patients and residents to out of town appointment or pick them up out of town and bring them home.
